Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Oranges

Start by washing the oranges thoroughly. Cut them in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You need about 2 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice. Strain if you prefer a pulp-free juice.

  2. 2

    Chilling the Glasses

While you’re juicing the oranges, chill your champagne flutes or glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes to make the mimosa even more refreshing.

Mixing and Serving

  1. 3

    Combining Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice with the peach schnapps (if using). Stir gently to mix.

  2. 4

    Pouring the Mimosa

Remove the chilled glasses from the freezer. Pour the orange juice mixture into each glass, filling them about halfway.

  3. 5

    Topping with Champagne

Carefully top off each glass with champagne or sparkling wine. Pour slowly to avoid overflowing.

  4. 6

    Garnishing

Garnish each mimosa with an orange slice on the rim of the glass and a few fresh mint leaves for added aroma and presentation.
