Preparation of Lemonade Base
- 1
Juice the Lemons
Roll the lemons on the countertop to soften them. Cut them in half and use a juicer to extract 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp.
- 2
Make the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to mix.

Add Flavor Infusions
Select one or more flavor infusions. For black cherry, mix in 1 cup of black cherry juice into the lemonade. For a fruity twist, add 1 cup of blueberries, raspberries, or sliced strawberries to the pitcher. Optionally, muddle the berries slightly to release more flavor.

Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve over ice and garnish with additional slices of lemon or berries if desired.
