Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Drain again and set aside.

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Combine the lettuce and tomatoes in a large salad bowl.
