Steak

Vegetables (optional)

Method

Marinating the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the beef sirloin steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the steak on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain juices.

Cooking the Vegetables (optional)

  1. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet or on the grill, add the sliced zucchini, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender and slightly charred. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve it on a plate alongside the sautéed vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
