Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and you have a smooth mixture.

Wrapper Assembly

  1. 2

    Assemble the Crab Rangoon

Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling in the center of the wrapper. Using your finger, moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal. You can also bring the two corners of the triangle together to form a 'money bag' shape and seal them with a bit of water.

Frying

  1. 3

    Fry the Rangoon

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop a few crab rangoon into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  1. 4

    Serve

Serve the hot crab rangoon immediately with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
