Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Mix well to ensure the beef is coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Broccoli
While the beef is marinating, wash the broccoli and cut it into florets if not pre-cut. Steam the broccoli for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender, then set aside.
Cooking
- 3
Make the Stir-Fry Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- 4
Cook the Beef
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and heat until shimmering. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally.

Combine Ingredients
Once the beef is browned, add the steamed broccoli to the skillet. Pour the stir-fry sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
