Burger Patty

Prepare the Beef Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the Patty
Shape the mixture into two 8 oz patties, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Grill the Patties
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

Add the Remaining Ingredients
Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Lava Cheese Sauce

Prepare the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and milk. Stir until melted and smooth.

Add Hot Sauce
Stir in the hot sauce and mix well. Keep the sauce warm on low heat.

On a grilled burger patty, layer a generous amount of volcano chili, followed by the lava cheese sauce.

Top with pickled jalapeños, a scoop of guacamole, and a handful of tortilla chips for crunch.
