Shrimp Filling

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Coat the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp into the beaten egg and then coat it in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well covered.

  3. 3

    Fry the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated shrimp in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Taco Assembly

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Tacos

Layer each tortilla with shredded lettuce, a generous serving of fried shrimp, diced tomatoes, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and a drizzle of chili lime aioli.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve with Sides

Arrange the crispy tortilla chips on a serving platter alongside a bowl of fire-roasted salsa for dipping. Serve the shrimp tacos warm.
