Pasta Preparation

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cheese Sauce Preparation

Make the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux. Gradually add the heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth. Add the Boursin cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and cheese sauce. Mix until well combined.

Prepare for Baking
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

Prepare Topping
In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the mixture over the pasta and shrimp.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
