Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux. Gradually add the heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth. Add the Boursin cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine and Bake

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and cheese sauce. Mix until well combined.

    Prepare for Baking

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

  3. 6

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the mixture over the pasta and shrimp.

  4. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
