Crust Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Crust Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and crumbly.

Form the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form an even crust.

Bake the Crust
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Combine Filling Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and egg yolks until smooth and well blended.

Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the filling mixture into the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.

Bake the Pie
Bake in the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.

Cool the Pie
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours to set completely.

Whip the Cream
In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.

Add Sugar and Zest
Gradually add the powdered sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the lime zest.

Spread or pipe the whipped cream mixture over the cooled key lime filling.
