Meatloaf Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Meatloaf Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chorizo sausage, sautéed onions and garlic, bread crumbs, eggs, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape and Bake
Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Cool the Meatloaf
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Bread
Cut Cuban bread into halves or quarters, depending on your desired sandwich size.

Layer the Ingredients
Spread yellow mustard on the inside of each piece of bread. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each side.

Add Meatloaf and Pickles
Layer slices of the cooked meatloaf on the cheese, then add slices of pickles.

Close and Grill the Sandwich
Close the sandwich and grill in a pan or sandwich press until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes.

Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately, enjoying the flavorful combination of meatloaf, cheese, mustard, and pickles.
