Carnitas Preparation

Prepare the Pork
Cut the pork shoulder into large chunks and season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and oregano. Set aside.

Cook the Pork
In a slow cooker, add the seasoned pork shoulder, garlic cloves, onion (quartered), orange juice, lime juice, and bay leaves. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard any excess fat and bay leaves.

Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
