Method
Preparing the Calamari

Prepare the Calamari
Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.

Coat the Calamari
Dredge the dried calamari rings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the coated calamari rings to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Making the Cabbage Slaw

Prepare the Cabbage and Carrot
Shred the cabbage and carrot, and place them in a large bowl.

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until smooth and well combined.
