Preparation of Chicken

Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.

Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Breading the Chicken

Prepare Breading Stations
In one bowl, place the flour and cornstarch mixed together. In another bowl, set aside the marinated chicken.

Bread the Chicken
Take each marinated chicken strip, dip it in the flour-cornstarch mixture, coating it evenly. Shake off any excess flour and set aside on a plate.

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat enough oil over medium-high heat to cover the bottom of the pan.

Making the Buffalo Sauce

Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the stick of unsalted butter.

Combine Ingredients
Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and vinegar. Mix well until combined.

Toss the Chicken
In a large bowl, add the fried chicken tenders and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated.

Plate the buffalo chicken tenders and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese.
