Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2
Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Bake Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
Assembly
- 7
Scoop Ice Cream
Once the brownies are slightly warm, place a brownie square in a serving dish and add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top.
- 8
Add Toppings
Crush the Heath® bar and sprinkle it generously over the ice cream. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- 9
Finish with Cherry
Finally, place a maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream to complete your brownie sundae.
