Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cook the Fries

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the frozen French fries and cook according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain excess oil on paper towels.

Adding Cheese

  1. 2

    Melt the Cheese

While the fries are still hot, place them on a large oven-safe platter. Evenly sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese over the fries. Place the platter in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Final Touches

  1. 3

    Add Bacon and Chives

Once the cheese has melted, remove the platter from the oven. Sprinkle the bacon bits and chopped chives over the top of the cheesy fries.

  2. 4

    Serve with Ranch

Serve the Alabama Cheese Fries immediately with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
