Chicken Strips
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare Chicken Strips
Cut the chicken breast into strips and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- 2
Batter the Chicken
In a bowl, mix flour and cornstarch. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Dip each chicken strip first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- 4
Make Voodoo Sauce
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add hot sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Stir until well combined and heated through.
- 5
Toss Chicken in Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken strips with the Voodoo Sauce until evenly coated.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Voodoo Chicken Strips with your choice of ranch or bleu cheese dressing on the side.
