Prepare the Oysters
Rinse the fresh oysters under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Coat the Oysters
Dip the oysters in buttermilk, then toss them in the flour mixture until fully coated.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).

Fry the Oysters
Carefully add the coated oysters to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Close the sandwich and serve immediately while hot.
