Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Andouille Sausage

Remove the casing from the Andouille sausage and crumble it into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Make the Burger Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with crumbled Andouille sausage. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two half-pound patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese on each burger patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half, layer lettuce, the cooked burger patty, tomato slice, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Louis Armstrong Burger hot with your favorite side dish.
