Chermoula Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Chermoula Marinade

In a food processor, combine the coriander leaves, parsley, garlic, cumin seeds, paprika, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish. Pour the chermoula marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. If grilling, place the salmon directly on the grill grates. If baking, transfer the marinated salmon to a lined baking sheet. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the heat and serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
