Method
Preparing the Wings
- 1
Wash and Dry the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and thoroughly pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the flour mixture.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Sauces
- 5
Honey Sriracha Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 6
- 7
BBQ Bourbon Glaze
In another saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, and mustard. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Preparing the Dip
- 8
Make the Dip
In a mixing bowl, combine the bleu cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, walnuts, garlic powder, milk, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 9
Serve
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
