Method

Prepare the MT Bourbon Glaze

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ground black pepper.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Glaze

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the glaze thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 4

    Form Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  3. 5

    Cook the Patties

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 6

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cover the skillet until the cheese melts.

Cook the Bacon and Onion Rings

  1. 7

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 8

    Fry the Onion Rings

In the same skillet, fry the onion rings until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 9

    Prepare the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet or toaster.

  2. 10

    Layer Ingredients

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, the burger patty with melted cheese, bacon, pickles, and finally, an onion ring on top.

  3. 11

    Finish Up

Place the top half of the bun over the stacked ingredients and press gently. Serve immediately with your favorite side.
