Steak Marinade

Taco Assembly

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, then pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

Taco Assembly

  1. 3

    Warm the Tortillas

While the steak is resting, warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Tacos

On each warm tortilla, place a few slices of the grilled steak. Top with chopped cilantro, diced red onion, and avocado slices. Add a dollop of sour cream on top.

  3. 5

    Serve

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top before enjoying.
