Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach desired doneness. Add cheese slices on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare Lettuce and Tomato

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Making the Fries

  1. 6

    Cut Potatoes

Peel (if desired) and cut the potatoes into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Season and Bake

Toss the potato strips with olive oil and salt. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  3. 8

    Bake Fries

Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 9

    Build the Burger

Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and the top half of the bun.
