Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by cleaning and slicing the mushrooms, dicing the onion, and slicing the sweet peppers. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet peppers. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes or until the vegetables are soft and caramelized. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and add the American Wagyu beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5–8 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Once the beef is cooked, lower the heat to medium and lay the slices of white American cheese on top of the beef and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt for 2–3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Cheesesteaks

Split the hoagie rolls lengthwise, and fill each with the Wagyu beef and cheese mixture. Make sure to distribute the vegetables evenly among the rolls.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the cheesesteaks hot, optionally with your favorite condiments or sides.
