Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter. Mix until well combined and the mixture resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or your fingers to ensure it is packed tightly.

  3. 3

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue mixing until well combined.

  2. 5

    Add Sour Cream and Vanilla

Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat on low speed until just incorporated.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 7

    Add Flour

Sift the all-purpose flour into the mixture and fold it in gently using a spatula until fully combined.

  5. 8

    Pour into Crust

Pour the filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking and Cooling

  1. 9

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle.

  2. 10

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the oven door open. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. After that, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
