House Favorites
- 1
Prepare the Pizza Dough
Start by preparing your pizza dough. If using store-bought, follow the package instructions. If making homemade, combine flour, yeast, water, and salt, knead until smooth, and let rise for about 1 hour.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure it’s hot enough for a crispy crust.
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the tomato sauce and season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- 4
Slice the Fresh Tomatoes
While the sauce is simmering, wash and slice the fresh tomatoes thinly. Set aside.
- 5
Assemble the Pizza
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Arrange the sliced fresh tomatoes on top, and sprinkle with grated Parmigiana cheese.
- 6
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the pizza, then sprinkle with additional black pepper if desired.
- 7
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Once out of the oven, let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if using, slice, and serve hot.
