Main Ingredients

Seasoning and Marinara

Method

Preparation of Filling

  1. 1

    Cook the Steak

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season the flank steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches a medium-rare doneness. Remove from skillet and let it rest.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes or until softened.

  3. 3

    Slice the Steak

Once the steak has rested, thinly slice it against the grain.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer Ingredients

On each tortilla, layer a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, followed by the sautéed vegetables and the sliced steak.

  2. 5

    Roll the Pinwheels

Carefully roll the tortilla tightly, starting from one end to the other, to form a pinwheel. Repeat for all tortillas.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Heat the Pinwheels

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pinwheels seam-side down on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tortillas are golden and the cheese is melted.

  2. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing into small pinwheels. Serve with marinara sauce on the side.
