Pasta and Sauce

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Bucatini

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bucatini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  3. 3

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked bucatini to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.

  4. 4

    Finish with Ricotta and Basil

Remove from heat and stir in the ricotta cheese and chopped basil until well combined.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the bucatini, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and additional fresh basil if desired.
