Porterhouse Steak and Sides

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wedge Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the potatoes into wedges and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Bake the Wedge Fries

Spread the seasoned potato wedges on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Stuffed Mushrooms

While the wedges are baking, clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped chives, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stuff the mushroom caps with this mixture.

  4. 4

    Cook the Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the same oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden.

  5. 5

    Cook the Porterhouse Steak

Season the porterhouse steak generously with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to reach your desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve alongside the stuffed mushrooms and wedge fries.
