Brisket

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the brisket with olive oil, then season it generously with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. 2

    Sear the Brisket

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Bake the Brisket

Place the seared brisket in a roasting pan. Pour the blueberry porter beer over the brisket and sprinkle brown sugar on top. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.

  4. 4

    Cook in Oven

Bake in the preheated oven for about 4-5 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

  5. 5

    Rest and Slice

Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing against the grain.
