Crab Cake Mixture
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, green onions, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Using your hands, shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Chill the Cakes
Refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.
- 4
Cook the Cakes
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of oil. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes, cooking in batches if necessary. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Serve
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
