Buffalo Chicken Wings
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the hot sauce and garlic powder until well combined.
- 5
Coat the Wings
Toss the fried chicken wings in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- 6
Prepare the Blue Cheese Dressing
In a bowl, combine the blue cheese crumbles, sour cream, mayonnaise, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- 7
Serve
Cut the celery stalks into sticks and serve alongside the buffalo chicken wings with the blue cheese dressing for dipping.
