Meatballs and Spaghetti
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the Meatballs
Form the mixture into 3 large meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Meatballs
Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
Cook the Spaghetti
While the meatballs are baking, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
Heat the Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.
Assemble the Dish
In a large cocktail glass, layer a small amount of spaghetti, followed by a generous ladle of marinara sauce, and top with the three meatballs. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
