Linguine with White Clam Sauce Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Clams

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

2

Sauté the Base

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the fresh clams and chopped clams, and sauté for about 2 minutes.

3

Add Liquids

Pour in the white wine and clam liquor, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Cook until the clams open, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.

4

Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet along with the lemon juice, parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

5

Serve

Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
