Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the cakes.

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Add the melted chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the batter mixture. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Baking

Fill Ramekins
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

Cool Slightly
Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for about 1-2 minutes.

Invert and Serve
Carefully run a knife around the edges of each cake, then invert onto a plate. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
