Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Paneer
Cut the paneer into long, rectangular sticks of about 1/2 inch thickness.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Gradually add water to form a smooth, thick batter.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until hot.
- 4
Coat the Paneer
Dip each paneer stick into the batter, ensuring it's well coated.
- 5
Fry the Pakoras
Carefully place the coated paneer sticks into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried pakoras from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
