    Prepare the Spinach

    Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to ice water. Drain and blend into a smooth paste.

    Cook the Base

    In a pan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

    Add chopped tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, turmeric, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

    Combine Spinach

    Add the spinach paste to the pan, mix well, and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.

    Finish with Cream

    Stir in the cream and garam masala, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Adjust salt if necessary.

    Add Paneer

    Cut paneer into cubes and gently fold them into the saag. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

    Serve hot with naan or rice, garnished with a drizzle of cream if desired.
