Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chestnuts

Boil fresh chestnuts in salted water for about 15 minutes until tender. Drain, cool, and peel off the shells.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Then add chopped onions, minced garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are translucent.

  3. 3

    Add Bell Peppers and Chestnuts

Add chopped bell peppers and boiled chestnuts to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Season the Dish

Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper over the mixture. Toss everything together and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the peppers are tender.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot as a crunchy delight.
