Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 3

    Make the Tomato Sauce

Add the canned tomatoes to the skillet with the garlic oil. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.

  5. 5

    Serve

Stir in the fresh basil and serve the spaghetti hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
