Preparing the Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and place them into a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Roughly chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Add Garlic
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. Stir to combine all the ingredients.

Season the Mixture
Drizzle in 3 tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Mix well and set aside to allow flavors to meld.
Toasting the Bread

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Bread
Cut the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush the tops with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Assembling the Bruschetta

Top the Toast
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously over each slice.

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy!
