Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheeses

Begin by taking each type of cheese out of the refrigerator and allowing them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will enhance their flavors.

  2. 2

    Slice and Arrange

Slice the Cheddar, Brie, and Gorgonzola cheeses into wedges or cubes. Crumble the Goat Cheese and shave the Parmesan into thin slices. Arrange the cheeses on a large serving platter or wooden board.

Accompaniments

  1. 3

    Prepare Accompaniments

While the cheeses are warming, prepare the accompaniments. Slice the fresh baguette into rounds and arrange them alongside the cheese platter.

  2. 4

    Add Fruits and Spreads

Scatter the grapes around the cheese and add small bowls of fig jam and olives on the platter for guests to enjoy with the cheeses.

  3. 5

    Serve

Serve the stationary formaggi family style, allowing guests to help themselves to the variety of cheeses and accompaniments.
