Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients: salami, cremasco cheese, arugula, ciabatta bread, EVOO, black pepper, and salt.

  2. 2

    Slice the Cheese

Slice the cremasco cheese into thin pieces, ensuring they will fit well in the panino.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Bread

Take the ciabatta bread slices and cut them open to create a pocket for the filling.

Assembling the Panino

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On one side of the ciabatta pocket, layer the salami slices evenly, followed by the sliced cremasco cheese.

  2. 5

    Add Arugula

Top the salami and cheese with a generous handful of arugula.

  3. 6

    Drizzle with EVOO

Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil over the arugula.

  4. 7

    Season

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the filling to taste.

  5. 8

    Close the Panino

Carefully close the ciabatta pocket to encase all the ingredients inside.

Cooking

  1. 9

    Heat the Pan

Place a skillet or pan over medium heat and let it warm up for a few minutes.

  2. 10

    Grill the Panino

Place the assembled panino in the skillet and grill for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

  3. 11

    Serve

Once grilled, remove the panino from the skillet, cut it in half if desired, and serve warm.
