Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of timilia wheat flour and 1 tsp of salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add Water and Oil

Gradually add 1 cup of water and 1 tbs of olive oil to the flour mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Rest the Dough

Cover the kneaded dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 5

    Shape the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into your desired forms (e.g., rounds, flatbreads).

  3. 6

    Cook the Dough

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each piece of dough for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serving

    Optional Toppings

If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds and fresh herbs on top of the cooked timilia for added flavor.

  2. 8
