Directions
- 1
Boil the Water
In a small pot, bring 1 cup of fresh water to a boil. Use filtered water for the best taste.
- 2
Prepare the Tea Leaves
While the water is boiling, measure out 2 teaspoons of Japanese green tea leaves. You may use a tea infuser or directly in the cup.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves and let it steep for about 2-3 minutes. Do not steep longer than 3 minutes to avoid bitterness.
- 4
Strain the Tea
If you used loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a cup. If you used an infuser, simply remove it from the cup.
