Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, chopped fresh rosemary, and lemon juice until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the T-Bone steak in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F). If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling. Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the T-Bone steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy steak.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Slice the T-Bone steak against the grain and serve with optional sides of garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, if desired.
