Method

Prepare Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Sprinkle the 12 oz ribeye steak generously with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper on both sides. Allow the steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to enhance flavor.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet, heat 1 tbs of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the ribeye steak in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until a brown crust forms. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and place it on a cutting board. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

Prepare Eggs

  1. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet used for the steak (add more butter if necessary), reduce the heat to medium. Add 1 tbs of butter. Once melted, crack the 2 eggs into the skillet. For sunny-side-up, cook undisturbed for about 3 minutes. For scrambled, stir gently until cooked through.

  2. 5

    Season the Eggs

Sprinkle a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper over the eggs while they cook.
