Frog Legs

Lemon Butter Sauce

Method

Preparation of Frog Legs

  1. 1

    Cleaning and Seasoning

Rinse the frog legs thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Dredging

Place the all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each frog leg in the flour, shaking off any excess.

Cooking Frog Legs

  1. 3

    Sautéing

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the floured frog legs to the skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Preparing Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 4

    Making the Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Finishing the Sauce

Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plating

Return the sautéed frog legs to the skillet, tossing them in the lemon butter sauce to coat. Serve immediately on a plate, drizzling extra sauce over the top.
