Burger Patties

Buns

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a 4 oz patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the patties and cook for another 2-3 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns if desired. Simply place them cut-side down on the grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Spread the Dijonaise

Spread 1 tablespoon of Dijonaise on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun.

  3. 5

    Add the Patties

Carefully place each cooked patty with melted cheese on top of the Dijonaise-covered bun.

  4. 6

    Add Pickles

Top each patty with 2 slices of pickles.

  5. 7

    Finish Assembling

Place the top half of the bun on the burgers to complete the assembly.
