Fried Chicken Benedict Ingredients

Method

Fried Chicken Benedict Directions

  1. 1

    Soak the Chicken

In a bowl, soak chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Coating

In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook black pepper bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Poach the Eggs

Bring a pot of water to a simmer. Crack eggs into individual ramekins, then gently slide each into the simmering water. Poach for about 3-4 minutes or until whites are set and yolks are still runny. Remove with a slotted spoon.

  6. 6

    Make the Hollandaise Sauce

In a heatproof bowl, whisk together egg yolks, lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Place over a pot of simmering water and whisk until thickened. Gradually whisk in melted butter until smooth and creamy.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Toast English muffins and place on plates. Top with fried chicken, crispy bacon, poached eggs, and drizzle with hollandaise sauce.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Fried Chicken Benedict!
